October 19. We went to see James and Julie today in the hospital. They looked so happy and enthralled with their son that it increased/renewed our enthusiasm. We had a doctor's appointment today to reassess the plan for induction. Sunshine's cervix is now deemed favorable enough that we will skip the prostaglandins (used for ripening and what we used last Wednesday night) tonight and instead just move on to the pitocin (oxytocin) to induce labor tomorrow. We're excited about the changes and hopeful for tomorrow's induction. Perhaps my next blog will be with news of the arrival, or of another delay.
Hoping for the best,
K

Thanks for keeping us updated. We're enjoying the Lahmer’s blog. And the photos are the greatest.
Now as you’re very close to B’ day, I have one last chance to guess lil’ miss’ name (starting with the letter S and with a reference to fly fishing , as you hinted) !!!!
Maybe one of the following???
Steelhead, Sockeye, Salmon, Spinner, Scud, Sinkant, Stonefly, Salinity, Sage (brand name for gear), Smelt, spawn, shooting head, Spring (for spring tides), sedge (water moth), snook, Sol-Duc (river), Snake (river), Sea breeze and Spanish Mackerel (aka “baby cuda”)
Unfortunately few resonate well with Lahmers:-(
Seems there’s very little on this list that passes the pretty-name-to-live-with test. I give Sage a plus and Salinity (as in sea), has a nice ring to it but it sounds salty, and Spring… possible (I know you have an Autumn child in the family, they'd likely become fast friends).
Very soon we'll know how close or far away these guesses are :-).
We (T & I) will keep candle lights glowing as lil’ Lahmers gets ready to enter the daylight.
So very exciting!
Love you two,
Mom/Camille
That’s some fish Kevin!
Any other guesses out there?
Happy Hallelujah . . . seems we're getting really close . Thanks for all the updates Kevin , our vigilant watch has been heightened by your serious and fun notes . Baby names ... hmmm , how's bout Sinker , Serene , skimmer , Shiner , Salmon ... oh , i don't know ... I'm just sitting here with lit candles wishing you all the happiest and healthiest earth landing arrival .
Love , Terry
