The current status. Sunshine has been suffering from a little bit of high blood pressure in the last trimester. The doctors suggested bedrest for the last month of the pregnancy. Fortunately, her values have stayed pretty much the same and the youngster is doing fine. Sunshine has rediscovered the joys of a midday nap and has managed to deal with my attempts at regulating her activity. This Thursday (10/12/06), she will be 38 weeks and considered full term. So, we will try to induce labor. We'll try this as there is limited benefit to letting the kid decide the date and we can avoid any change to more serious complications for Sunshine or the young one. Induction doesn't always work, so it isn't a definite birth date (or 'earth arrival day' for the 'eccentrics' in the bunch). But, we're getting close. Quick summary: Everyone's doing quite well. We'll see if the kid is interested in coming into the world next week.
